Easy Fall Decor Ideas

I have always connected with my kids through crafts. Kids love to do! So do something with them! Maybe you have the blessing to play or craft with your grandkids now, or maybe you are a big kid at heart. No matter what the answer and the reason for crafting is, these Toilet Paper Pumpkins are pretty darn cute. They also do not require a lot of supplies and they put away nicely when the season is over. They can be customized with matching fabric to a home or be completely fall. Makes a cute gift for a neighbor, teachers or friend.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Large roll of toilet paper (preferably a mega size)

  • 18-20 inch square piece of fabric

  • Green ribbon or leaves for the stem

  • 4 inch piece of branch or a few cinnamon sticks

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Unroll the toilet paper about 10 times, and then roll it loosely back up to give more of a round shape.

  2. Lay out your fabric and place the toilet paper in the center.

  3. Grab one corner of the fabric and tuck it inside of the toilet paper roll. Slowly work your way around gathering up the fabric and tucking each corner into the roll.

  4. Tie a ribbon around your branch piece, or cinnamon stick and stuff it into the center.

  5. Leaves, flowers or other decorations could be added to the center to make more of a centerpiece if you desired.

  6. Find the perfect place or person to show off your creation to.

There are a lot of little things you can add to a room to make it feel more seasonal. You do not have to go over the top with blow up decor within the home. Adding some small items, such as these pumpkins, seasonal pillows, artwork, dishes or a colorful throw to the sofa will really help embrace the season.

Look at this room.

Pretty Neutral correct? Now imagine it with some fall toned pillows, a soft warm blanket a few cute pumpkins! It is completely a different feel.
